My name is Shelly Jackson. I graduated from the University of Houston in 1985. I have been teaching for 26 years and I love teaching Biology and getting to know my new students. I taught in the Victoria Independent School district for nineteen years and I have been with DSISD for seven years.
I am the mother of three and a step daughter. My children, Reese- Aggie Engineer, Grant- Aggie Dentist, and Taylar- UTSA , works for SABOR and my step-daughter Sophia is a sophomore at the University of North Texas. My husband Roy works in Governmental Affairs, across from the The State Capital.
During my summer vacations I love traveling and enjoying all mother nature has to offer. Some of my favorite wildlife trips include hiking in The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Acadia and Olympic National Parks. I also enjoy visiting historical cities, some of my favorites include; Stockholm, London, Edinburgh and St. Andrews , Belfast, and Killarney . In the states, I enjoy historical cities like Boston, Telluride, Portsmouth and San Antonio.
I look forward to my 27th year of teaching and another great year in Dripping Springs! I know we will all have an awesome school year! :)
